Call for Teaching Artists

Freeway Park Association seeks teaching artists to lead an outdoor learning program for preschool-aged children from the First Hill and Downtown neighborhoods. This program is funded in-part by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission’s (ArtsWA) Creative Start program.

Classes can utilize dance, theater, music, storytelling and visual arts components. The curriculum enrichment goals include: creating a connection between children and their place in the community, learning about the diversity of the neighborhood and their classmates, and providing opportunities for no-cost arts and creative play in an underserved neighborhood.
